I’m about to try out the newest Linux ker­nel, 2.6.0-test2. It’s a “test” ker­nel, so it’s almost cer­tainly got some bugs in it. But I tried it out on a test box I’ve got, and it worked pretty well.
I’m also switch­ing to GRUB, since I like it a lot more than LILO. I’ve had some bad expe­ri­ences with LILO (L 99 99 99 99 99), and Grub doesn’t seem to have the same kidn of prob­lems; it only needs to be writ­ten to the boot record once.
